Cleveland State Women’s Tennis Closes Out Action At ITA Midwest Regional

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team closed out action at the ITA Midwest Regional Friday, with the doubles team of Oihane Vicario and Tereze Vevere advancing to the second round of the Main Doubles Draw.

Vicario and Vevere earned an 8-3 win over Eastern Michigan in the first round, before coming up short against Notre Dame in the second round.

Vicario was also representing Cleveland State in the Main Singles Draw, dropping a 6-3, 6-2 decision against Ohio State's Danielle Wilson.

After bowing out of the Qualifying Singles Draw yesterday, the trio of Ella Franz, Bethany Yauch and Vevere all earned consolation singles wins on Friday.

Cleveland State will return to the courts next weekend, participating in the Toledo Invitational on Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29.
