Prinkle Singh Set To Join Women’s Tennis For 2019-20 Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's tennis head coach Frank Polito announced the addition of Prinkle Singh to the CSU lineup for the upcoming 2019-20 season, with Singh set to join the Vikings this fall.

"I'm very excited about Pri coming to Cleveland State and joining our lineup," Poltio said. "She has a wealth of experience at the national and international level, which will help her adjust to collegiate tennis quickly. Pri fits our culture of hard work on and off the court, and has the blue collar mentality of doing anything to help the team succeed."

Singh joins the Vikings following a standout junior career in which she was successful on the national stage in various age groups. As a five-time nationals winner in the Under-12 and Under-14 age groups, she was named the 2015 World Junior of Thailand (Under-14).

Early in her prep career Singh was the No. 1 ranked player in India among her age group, and went on to hold a top-five ranking throughout juniors.

Along with her singles success, Singh was also victorious in doubles, capturing four ITF Grade-5 Doubles Championships.

Singh joins a Cleveland State roster that returns all but one letterwinner from last season's team that was named Horizon League Regular Season Co-Champions after winning a record-tying eight league matches.
