INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team was recognized by the Horizon League Thursday afternoon, as senior Jana Schober earned a spot on the seven-member All-Academic Team.

Schober earns a spot on the All-Academic Team for the first time in her career after carrying a 3.86 GPA, while pursuing a degree in business and supply chain management. Schober has been named to the Cleveland State University Dean's List seven times – every semester of her collegiate career – and is a four-time CSU Athletic Academic Honoree.

Over the last three years, Schober has helped the Vikings to ITA All-Academic Team recognition, while she has also been honored as an ITA Scholar-Athlete in each of her first three years.

On the court, Schober has been an integral part of the singles and doubles lineup this year, owning a 14-11 singles record – including a 10-5 mark this spring. Earlier this week, Schober, along with teammate Gaby Schoenberg, picked up Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week honors, after helping the Vikings pick up the doubles point in a pair of crucial league matches.

Over the course of her career, Schober has helped the Vikings capture two Horizon League Regular Season titles, as the Vikings are two-time defending regular season champions. 

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with Academic All-League honors in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Academic All-Horizon League consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher (Based on a 4.00 scale) and have completed at least one year at the member institution.
