The Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion
The Vikings will be playing their 11th home match of the season on Saturday, and their fourth during the month of March. Cleveland State, who will have just two more home contests after this weekend, has been calling the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion home for the last three seasons, and owns a 21-7 overall record in the facility.

Vikings Selected Third In Preseason Poll
Earlier this season, Cleveland State was selected to finish third in the Horizon League Preseason poll, collecting 63 points to finish behind UIC and Youngstown State. Since the league began releasing preseason polls six years ago, the Vikings have now earned a top-three selection five times.

…Cleveland State In Horizon League Play
Last Saturday's 6-0 victory over Green Bay marked the 80th Horizon League victory for the Vikings under head coach Brian Etzkin, as the Vikings now stand at 81-36 against league teams in regular season play over the last 16 seasons. During this stretch, the Vikings are one of just two Horizon League teams to notch 80+ regular season victories (UIC), while they are also one of just three teams to record eight league wins in a single-season (UIC & YSU).

Spindler Named #HLWTEN Singles Player Of The Week
For the third time this season the Vikings picked up Horizon League Singles Player of the Week honors, as Isabella Spindler earned the accolade earlier this week after going 2-0 at No. 1 singles last weekend. Spindler picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win against Green Bay and a 6-3, 6-3 win against Milwaukee, improving to 14-11 overall this year and 8-7 this spring. Spindler, who is tied for the team lead with her 14 wins, has won six of her last seven matches, and enters Saturday's contest on a three-match winstreak.

Quartet Of Vikings Start League Play With 2-0 Records
Along with Isabella Spindler, three other Vikings are also 2-0 to start league play this season, as Aleksandra Golawska, Jana Schober and Blanche Lenoan also posted a pair of singles wins last weekend. For her career, Golawska owns a team-high 24-4 singles record in Horizon League regular season matches, including a career-best 8-1 record as a sophomore.

Golawska On The CSU Singles Wins List
With her two wins at No. 3 singles last weekend, Aleksandra Golawska became the ninth Viking all-time to eclipse the 65-win mark, finishing the weekend with a 65-46 career record. Golawska, who currently ranks ninth on the CSU Singles Wins List, is now four wins shy of moving into eighth place, and five wins shy of becoming the eighth Viking all-time to reach the 70-win milestone. For the season, Golawska owns a 13-11 overall singles record.

Schober Closing In On 50 Career Singles Wins
Entering Saturday's match against Youngstown State, senior Jana Schober is just seven wins shy of recording the 50th singles win of her career. Schober, who owns an 11-9 record this year, would become the 15th Viking all-time to achieve the feat and the second current Viking to join the 50-win club (Aleksandra Golawska).

Head Coach Brian Etzkin
Brian Etzkin is in his 16th year at the helm of the Vikings, owning a 205-195 dual match record. During his tenure, Etzkin has guided Cleveland State to three Horizon League Regular Season titles and three Horizon League Championship match appearances.

Scouting The Penguins
Youngstown State enters Saturday's contest with an 8-9 overall record and a 2-0 mark in league play. The Penguins, who also picked up wins against Milwaukee (6-1) and Green Bay (7-0) last time out, were selected to finish second in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, picking up 84 points and four first place votes.

This will be the 20th meeting between the two teams over the last 16 seasons, with Youngstown State owning a 12-7 record in the series. The Penguins have won six of the last seven matchups, with Cleveland State's lone victory during this stretch coming as a 4-3 decision in 2016.
