Last Time Out…
The Vikings played one of their toughest stretches of the season last weekend, dropping a trio of hard-fought matches at Dayton, Indiana and Butler after playing with a shorthanded lineup.

Vikings Return To The MMTP
After hitting the road for the first time this spring last weekend, Cleveland State will return to the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion to begin a five-match homestand this weekend. The Vikings have been calling the MMTP home for the last three seasons, and own a 16-4 overall record in the facility.

Schoenberg Having Excellent Start To Spring Season
Through the first two weeks of dual match play, freshman Gaby Schoenberg has been Cleveland State's leading singles player, owning a 4-1 record at No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Schoenberg's only loss this spring came against Indiana last weekend, snapping her three-match winstreak she started dual match play with. On the year, Schoenberg has a team-best 9-6 singles record.

Golawska Closing In On Singles Wins List
Entering the weekend, senior Aleksandra Golawska is just one win shy of earning a spot in the top-10 on the CSU Singles Wins List, currently standing at 58 career victories. One more win would put Golawska in a tie for 10th place, while two more wins would make her one of just 10 Vikings all-time with 60 victories on their career.

Former Viking Inducted Into Cleveland State Hall of Fame
Last weekend, former Viking Sarah Galon was inducted into the Cleveland State Athletics Hall of Fame, becoming the first women's tennis honoree. Galon, who played at Cleveland State from 2004-07, was a four-time First Team All-Horizon League honoree and was named the Newcomer of the Year (2004) and Player of the Year (2005). Galon finished her career with a program record 79 career singles wins – a mark that still stands today – and ranks second with 76 career doubles wins.

Head Coach Brian Etzkin
Brian Etzkin is in his 16th year at the helm of the Vikings, owning a 199-190 dual match record. During his tenure, Etzkin has guided Cleveland State to three Horizon League Regular Season titles and three Horizon League Championship match appearances. Etzkin, the winningest coach in program history, needs just one more win to achieve 200 career wins with the women's team.

Oberlin, a Division III school, enters the weekend with a 1-2 record on the spring season. Friday's match against Cleveland State will be Oberlin's only contest against a Division I opponent this season.

This will be the third meeting between the two teams under head coach Brian Etzkin, with the Vikings picking up wins in the first two meetings.

Eastern Michigan enters the weekend with a 2-2 record, picking up wins against Youngstown State and South Dakota to open the spring. The Eagles will face Grand Valley and Pittsburgh prior to Sunday's match against the Vikings.
