The Vikings
Cleveland State returns four letterwinners from last year's Horizon League Regular Season Championship team, including the senior duo of Aleksandra Golawska and Jana Schober. Also returning for the Vikings will be Horizon League honoree junior Isabella Spindler and sophomore Blanche Lenoan, while this veteran group will be joined by a pair of newcomers in Anastasia Perin and Gaby Schoenberg.

2018 Spring Season
Cleveland State will kickoff its 23-match spring slate this weekend, opening its dual match season at home for the seventh time under head coach Brian Etzkin. The Vikings enter the 2018 campaign having won 10 or more dual matches during 13 of Etzkin's 15 seasons with the team, including a program record 18 wins during the 2007-08 season.

The Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion
This weekend's matches will mark the first of a 12-match home slate for the Vikings this season, as they will be playing in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion for the third year. Since the MMTP opened on March 9, 2016, the Vikings have posted a 16-2 record when playing at home, and have currently won nine straight dual matches in the MMTP.

#HLWTEN Preseason Poll
Last week the Vikings were tabbed to finish third in the highly competitive 10-team Horizon League field, collecting 63 points to finish behind UIC and Youngstown State. Cleveland State has earned at least a share of the Regular Season Horizon League title three out of the last four years, and has combined for a 28-6 #HLWTEN record during this span.

Golawska Closing In On Singles Wins List
Entering the spring season, senior Aleksandra Golawska is just one win shy of earning a spot in the top-10 on the CSU Singles Wins List, currently standing at 58 career victories. One more win would put Golawska in a tie for 10th place, while two more wins would make her one of just 10 Vikings all-time with 60 victories on their career.

Head Coach Brian Etzkin
Brian Etzkin is in his 16th year at the helm of the Vikings, owning a 199-185 dual match record. During his tenure, Etzkin has guided Cleveland State to three Horizon League Regular Season titles and three Horizon League Championship match appearances. Etzkin, the winningest coach in program history, needs just one more win to achieve 200 career wins with the women's team.
