ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team wrapped up action at the ITA Midwest Regional Friday, with two doubles teams in action in the Main Doubles Draw.
Both Cleveland State teams were able to pick up opening round victories before falling in second round action.
The tandem of Aleksandra Golawska and Isabella Spindler improved to 6-0 on the season with an 8-5 victory over Western Michigan in their opening round match, before dropping their first contest of the season against Northwestern in the second round.
Gaby Schoenberg and Jana Schober represented the Vikings in the other doubles match, as they were able to cruise to an 8-2 victory over Detroit Mercy in the first round before dropping a hard-fought 8-5 contest against Northwestern in the second round of play.
Cleveland State will now have one more tournament during the fall slate, as they will take part in the WMU Super Challenge Friday, November 3 through Sunday, November 5.
