Women’s Tennis Continues Strong Play At Viking Invitational

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued their strong play at the Viking Invitational Saturday, led by Isabella Spindler and Aleksandra Golawska who went 4-0 in their combined singles and doubles matches.

COMPLETE VIKING INVITATIONAL RESULTS

Isabella Spindler remained perfect on the season with a win at the top of the lineup against West Virginia, as she picked up a 6-2, 6-4 victory. Aleksandra Golawska also posted her first singles win of the weekend, earning a 6-3, 7-5 win at the No. 2 spot, while Gaby Schoenberg battled for a 7-6 (3), 7-6 (3) victory at No. 4 singles.

In doubles play, the Vikings picked up wins in four of their six matches, including a perfect 2-0 day from Spindler and Golawska at the top of the lineup. Against Akron, the duo posted a 7-5 victory, and followed that up with a 6-1 win against Cincinnati.

Cleveland State's No. 2 team of Schoenberg and Jana Schober notched a 6-3 victory against Akron, while Kristina Fernandez and Blanche Lenoan tallied a 6-2 win against Cincinnati.

Action at the Viking Invitational will wrap up tomorrow (Sunday, October 8), with one round of singles and one round of doubles beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
