Vikings Add Anastasia Perin For 2017-18 Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's tennis head coach Brian Etzkin announced the final piece to his 2017-18 recruiting class Thursday afternoon (June 1), as Anastasia Perin (Brussels, Belgium) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Cleveland State University beginning this fall.

"Anastasia is another quality student-athlete that will be joining our solid recruiting class for the upcoming season," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "We are looking forward to what she can bring to the team as we look to reload for another championship year during the 2017-18 season."

Perin joins the Vikings after a very successful junior career, earning a B-15/1 Belgian ranking.

Most recently Perin captured the AFT Belgian Dames I Bis tournament in 2016 – the highest level of national tournaments in Belgium. During the same year, Perin was also a finalist at the Oree Tournament Dames I.

Perin has also had a successful stretch in Dames II tournaments, winning and finishing as a finalist in multiple singles and doubles tournaments over the past few years.

Along with her strong play in Belgium, Perin has also won numerous tournaments in France and the United States.

Perin joins Gaby Schoenberg (Ingleside, Ill.) and Kristina Fernandez (Coral Gables, Fla.) to complete the three-member recruiting class for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
