Vikings Continue Play At WMU Super Challenge

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued play at the WMU Super Challenge Saturday, picking up four singles wins and a pair of doubles victories.

Cleveland State's two doubles wins came from the teams of Katy Quillin and Morgan Nix and Isabella Spindler and Aleksandra Golawska. Quillin and Nix posted an 8-5 victory over a combined team from Indiana and DePaul, while Spindler and Golawska earned an 8-3 win over an Indiana tandem.

Golawska and Nix also picked up a singles win on the day, as Golawska earned a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (2) win over Olivia Meyers of Western Michigan, and Nix posted a 6-7 (4), 6-0, 1-0 (6) victory over Indiana's Anna McCoy.

The senior duo of Victoria Bensimon and Princess Gbadamosi also picked up singles wins on the day, with Bensimon notching a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Indiana's Alicia Robinson and Gbadamosi earning a 6-0, 6-3 win over Emma Love of Indiana.

The Vikings will wrap up play at the WMU Super Challenge tomorrow (Sunday, November 6), with one round of singles action beginning at 11:00 a.m.
