KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team had a solid first day of play at the WMU Super Challenge, continuing their fall slate of tournaments.

The Vikings were able to pick up a pair of singles wins on the opening day, with Princess Gbadamosi and Aleksandra Golawska both notching victories.

Gbadamosi was able to earn a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Western Michigan's Gabriela Slavova, while Golawska's victory also came against a WMU opponent in a 6-1, 6-4 decision.

Cleveland State also notched a pair of doubles wins on the day, as Victoria Bensimon and Jana Schober posted an 8-6 victory over a WMU duo and Isabella Spindler and Golawska earned an 8-1 win over a duo from Indiana.

Play will continue at the WMU Super Challenge tomorrow, with two rounds of doubles and one round of singles beginning at 11:30 a.m.
