Women’s Tennis Adds Blanche Lenoan For The 2016-17 Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's tennis head coach Brian Etzkin has announced the addition of Blanche Lenoan for the upcoming 2016-17 season, as the Jullouville, France native has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Cleveland State University beginning this fall.

Lenoan will come to Cleveland State as a freshman, with four years of eligibility remaining.

"I am very excited to have Blanche join us in August, she will be a great addition on the court in singles and doubles play for us," Etzkin said. "Blanche will be following in the footsteps of two great French players who have studied and played tennis at Cleveland State in Mathilde Orange and Olivier Dhaine. Along with her talents on the tennis court, she is also a fantastic student, so she will fit right in with the rest of the team."

So far this year Lenoan has posted a 20-12 record in a highly competitive French tennis field, capturing three tournament wins. Most recently, Lenoan was crowned champion of the annual Cesson-Sévigné Tennis Tournament.

Lenoan will join eight returning letterwinners for the 2016-17 season, as the Vikings will be competing for back-to-back Regular Season Horizon League Championships.
