MARIETTA, Ga.- The Cleveland State women's tennis team received its first honor of the 2013-14 season Wednesday afternoon (June 12), when TennisRecruiting.net announced its Top-25 Mid-Major Recruiting Classes. The Vikings landed at No. 22 on this year's list, marking the first time that CSU has cracked the Top-25.

Cleveland State's 2013-14 recruiting class includes the trio of Victoria Bensimon (Cocoa Beach, Fla.), Princess Gbadamosi (Houston, Texas) and Lauren Golick (Westlake, Ohio), who are all four-star recruits according to TennisRecruiting.net.

"It is an honor to be mentioned on this list with all of the other top programs," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "The team continues to improve and grow each year, and this is truly an exciting time for Cleveland State Tennis. I can't wait for next season when we will be able to mix these three newcomers with our five returning players."

Cleveland State, who appeared on the list for the first time since receiving votes in 2010, is one of just two programs from the state of Ohio (Xavier) to make this year's top-25 and the only Horizon League school.

Bensimon, Gbadomosi and Golick will join a Viking squad that returns five letterwinners from the 2012-13 season - a year in which Cleveland State finished second in the Horizon League during the regular season and tied for third during the league tournament.

TennisRecruiting.net selected its top-25 mid-major programs from the following conferences: America East, American Athletic, Atlantic 10, Atlantic Sun, Big East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, CAA, C-USA, Great West, Horizon, MAAC, MAC, MEAC, Missouri Valley, Mountain West, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, SoCon, Southland, SWAC, Summit, Sun Belt, WCC and WAC.
