CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's tennis team announced two additions for their incoming freshman class, as Victoria Bensimon (Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School/Cocoa Beach, Fla.) and Princess Gbadamosi (Klein High School/Houston, Texas) have signed National Letters of Intent during the spring signing period. The four-star recruits will join the Viking program in 2013-14.

They are the second and third, four-star players to sign with Cleveland State this year, as they will be joining Ohio State High School Champion, Lauren Golick (Westlake, OH) who signed in the fall.

"We are thrilled to have Princess and Victoria join the tennis program," said head coach Brian Etzkin. "Both players are very hard workers, very good students, and very nice people. They will fit in well at Cleveland State, both on and off the court."

Gbadamosi follows a long line of Texas recruits at Cleveland State, both male and female. Most recently she was crowned the 2013 Texas 5A State Girls Doubles Champion - also finishing as a semi-finalist during the 2011 and 2012 seasons. Gbadamosi was a two-time Texas 5A Region Doubles Champion (2011 & 2013), four-time First Team All-District honoree and a Texas 5A Team State finalist (2009).

Bensimon has shown vast improvement in her tennis game over the past four years, and Etzkin feels like she can make an immediate impact on the CSU singles lineup. Over the past four years, Bensimon, a top-30 player in Florida, has shot up the national ranking lists at the rate of nearly 50 spots per year as her game has developed. During this time she has also led her high school team to a fourth and fifth place finish in the state tournament and posted a 41-4 record over a two-year span.

Bensimon and Gbadamosi will complete a recruiting class that is sure to be one of the best at the mid-major level next season. They will be joining a very strong team that returns five players from this year, including all four players from the top of the lineup.
