CSU Stands in Sixth at Horizon League Championships

Cleveland - After the first day of events, the Cleveland State women's swimming and diving team stands in sixth place in the Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championships at the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium. The Vikings sit one point behind fifth-place Youngstown State with 91 points through six events.

Freshman Kirsty McKechnie put up a strong showing in her first event, taking fifth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.26. The CSU relay squads also aided the Viking cause, posting a fourth place showing in the 400 medley relay (4:02.15) and a fifth-best mark in the 200 free relay (1:40.88).

The action continues tomorrow at Busbey Natatorium with trials at 10:30 a.m. and finals at 6:00 p.m.
