
Huntington, W.Va. – The Cleveland State University women's swimming and diving team opened action in a two-day dual meet at Marshall Friday evening inside the Fredrick A. Fitch Natatorium.
Marshall leads the meet after one day of action, 141-42.
Junior Tobie Zeller provided a highlight for the Vikings on the opening day as she won the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.44.
Zeller also swam on CSU's 200 medley relay team that took second in 1:46.97. She was joined on the team by sophomores Cassandra Oltman and Molly McNamara and junior Jamie VanDewerker.
Oltman and McNamara also posted third-place individual finishes on the evening.
Oltman took third in the 100 backstroke in 59.44 seconds while McNamara placed third in the 200 IM in 2:09.65.
Freshman Gabriella Marinelli took third in the 200 freestyle for CSU in a time of 1:56.95. Senior Tori Taffner placed third in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 213.45.
Cleveland State and Marshall will conclude the dual meet Saturday with six individual swims, three relays and 1-meter diving. Action will commence at 11:00 a.m.
