CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named 2015 Spring Scholar All-America programs.
The College Swimming Coaches Association of America announced the award winners on Tuesday. To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have a grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the spring semester.
The CSU women's squad posted a 3.21 GPA during the spring semester, while the men's team had a 3.06 GPA.
A complete list of teams who earned the honor can be viewed here. A record 406 collegiate swimming and diving programs earned Scholar All-America honors.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America -is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
The CSCAA will also recognize individual student-athletes as Scholar All-Americans for their performances in the classroom and competition at a later date.
