Men and Women Each in Sixth Going Into Day 3

Brown Deer, WI - The Cleveland State men and women's swimming and diving team competed in day two of the Horizon League Swimming and Diving Championship hosted by Wisconsin-Milwaukee at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center. The men have tallied 286.5 total points (Sixth Place) while the women scored 252.5 total points (Sixth Place) through day two.

In the finals for the men, Gage Alleman finished in a tie for fifth place with Willie Poelmans from Green Bay and a final time of 1:49.40 each. In another tie, Philipp Sikatzki tied for second in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 20.30. Adam Ingledew finished sixth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.53. In the 400 medley relay, the Vikings finished second with a final time of 3:15.35. Danny Roberts finished as runner-up in the 3-meter diving with a final score of 341.10. 

For the women, Jodi Turk made it to the finals for the 500 freestyle and finished with a time of 5:07.02. Anna Evans competed in the 50 freestyle and finished with a time of 24.13.

The Vikings will be back in the pool tomorrow for day three of the Horizon League Championship, with prelims beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the finals starting at 7:00 p.m. (central time zone). Women's 3-meter diving, 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, and 800 freestyle relay will headline day three's events.
