CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland State women's swimming and diving team competed in the Third Annual Magnus Cup on day one at Busbey Natatorium.  The Vikings tallied 275 points on the day, which was good enough for fourth place.

Diving was the first finals event where Samantha Sposet placed second in the 1-meter with an impressive score of 270.30. Later in the 50 yard breaststroke, Madisen Tretter placed fourth with a time of 29.96. Bethany Robertson placed third in the 500 yard freestyle (5:02.24).

"It was a very solid day of racing for the women's team, morning and evening. Very pleased across the board. We have to make sure we show some intensity tomorrow morning with the men. I am pleased with the first day of racing and look forward for the next two days," said Head Coach Paul Graham.

The Vikings will be back in the pool tomorrow (Nov. 22) for day two of the Magnus Cup, with prelims beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the finals starting at 5:00 p.m.
