Hysong went 6-for-10 in the weekend series with a double, a triple and two home runs to pace the Cleveland State offense.
Hysong put the Vikings in front in the bottom of the first inning when she laced a home run to centerfield giving Cleveland State an early 1-0 lead.
IUPUI, which improved to 16-33 overall and 10-9 in the Horizon League, took the lead for good in the top of the second inning by scoring four runs. The Jaguars tacked on a run in the third inning and two more in the top of the seventh inning.
Cleveland State, which dropped to 11-28 overall and 4-11 in league play, equaled the Jaguars with seven hits on the day but left seven runners on base.
The Vikings had two runners on in both the fourth and seventh innings, but were unable to push across any runs.
Cleveland State returns to action on Tuesday (April 23) when it opens a three-game series with Oakland. The Vikings will make their final appearance at Viking Field on April 26-27 when it hosts Wright State.
