    After playing the first 27 games of the season on the road, or at a neutral site, Cleveland State will play its home opener this weekend against Green Bay at Viking Field. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday (April 6) and a single game on Sunday (April 7).

    Senior Riley Ries went 5-for-8 with two doubles, a home run and six runs batted in and Cleveland State earned a split of its non-conference doubleheader with Robert Morris by winning the second game 8-5 on Wednesday at the North Athletic Complex. The Colonials won the opening game 6-5 with a walk-off single in the seventh inning.

    Gabby Shackelford went 2-for-3 with a double and Hallie Ward homered and drove in three runs, but Cleveland State lost both games of its Horizon League doubleheader at Flames Field on Saturday. UIC won the opener 15-1 and then captured game two by a 5-4 score.
