Softball Has Win Streak Snapped in 1-0 Loss at Belmont

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Cleveland State softball team had its seven-game win streak snapped with a 1-0 loss at Belmont in the first game of the Belmont Tournament on Friday afternoon at E.S. Rose Park.

The Vikings are now 7-3 this year, while Belmont improved to 4-2.

The Bruins scored the lone run of the game in the fifth inning on a two-out single by Elison Ollinger.

Macy Kaisk had both of CSU's hits and also pitched five innings in the circle, giving up just one run on three hits with four strikeouts. Kristin Catalano worked one inning, giving up two hits.

The Vikings continue play in the Belmont Tournament with two games on Saturday, playing Fort Wayne at 11:00 am and North Dakota at 2:30 pm.
