MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Cleveland State continued play in the Coastal Carolina Tournament on Saturday morning, dropping games to Morehead State and host CCU.

The Vikings fell to Morehead State, 1-0, before losing to Coastal Carolina, 12-0, in five innings.

Junior Mackenzie Joecken was strong in the circle in today's first game against Morehead State, working 6 2/3 innings and giving up just one run on six hits with four strikeouts.

Joecken worked out of a jam in the sixth inning as Morehead State put runners on second and third with one out, but Joecken got a strikeout and pop-up to shortstop to end the inning.

However, the Eagles received a game-winning, walk-off solo homer from Allison Rager in the seventh inning.

Sofia Johantgen, Macy Kaisk and Kloee Cuckler all had one hit for CSU. Melissa Jacobsen also reached base with a walk and was hit by a pitch.

CSU had its best scoring opportunity in the sixth inning, loading the bases with one out, however, the Vikings could not push a run acrosse.

In today's second game, host CCU scored in each of the four innings and starter Ashley Guillette limited the Vikings to a leadoff single by Jacobsen in the win.

CSU (1-11) concludes play in the tournament with a 9:00 am contest against Penn State on Sunday (Feb. 26).
