INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State junior Alex Radjen has been selected as the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 21-27. This is the third weekly award of the year for Radjen.
This is the fourth time in the last five weeks that a CSU pitcher has earned the award.
In helping CSU to a 3-1 mark last week, Radjen posted a 2-0 mark in the circle with one start and one relief appearance that totaled 10 innings. She posted a 0.00 ERA, while holding batters to a .114 batting average.
Radjen threw a complete game (five innings) in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader with Detroit and fired the final five innings of Sunday's series finale, earning the win in both games.
In her 10 innings of work, she held the opposition to just four hits and struck out seven.
The Vikings are slated to be back in action on Tuesday with a doubleheader at 3:00 p.m. at Akron and head to Wright State for a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday to conclude Horizon League play.
