CLEVELAND, Ohio - McKenna Vento had a goal and an assist, Bianca Sarti added a goal and the Cleveland State defense posted its second shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over Canisius on Wednesday night at Krenzler Field.
CSU improved to 3-4 this year, while Canisius slipped to 3-2.

THE GOALS
- McKenna Vento scored the first goal of the match at the 62:33 mark when she took a cross from Jenna Prathapa in front of the goal and beat the Canisius goalkeeper with a shot up high. It was Vento's first goal of the season.
- Prathapa tallied her first assist of the season and increased her season point total to a team-high seven.
- Bianca Sarti extened the CSU lead to 2-0 at the 73:55 mark when she scored her second career goal and first of the season.
- Vento started the play with a ball over the top of the Canisius backline that Sarti controlled and blasted past the keeper.
IN THE NET
- Jamie Daniels made three saves to notch her second shutout of the season.
- Daniels increased her career save total to 212, moving her into third place on the all-time list in program history.
KEY STATS
- The Vikings were playing at home for just the second time this year after playing five of their first six games on the road.
- CSU outshot the Golden Griffins, 10-4, and held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
