
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Ashley Thiss and McKenna Vento scored goals late in the second half to help Cleveland State rally for a 2-1 victory at Youngstown State in Horizon League action on Wednesday night.

THE GOALS
• YSU took a 1-0 lead at the 60:42 mark on a goal from Marissa Martin.
• The lead would last just 10 minutes as Ashley Thiss netted her second goal of the season off an assist from Toni Dickson to tie the match at 1-1 with just under 19 minutes to play.
• Dickson sent a free kick toward goal and Thiss was able to head the ball past the YSU goalkeeper for CSU's first goal of the night.
• The game-winner came at the 79:10 mark when McKenna Vento scored her first goal of the season.
• Katie Bainbridge recorded the assist on the game-winner, sending a cross into the box that Vento headed in.
IN THE NET
• Jamie Daniels earned the win in the net. She did not make a save as the Vikings limited YSU to just seven shots and only one on goal.

• CSU held an 18-7 advantage in shots, including 8-1 in shots on goal.
• The Vikings also took eight corner kicks to zero for YSU.
• Emily Edgell, Megan Barrick and Bianca Sarti each played 90 minutes in the backline, helping hold the Penguins to just one shot on goal.
