CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer team was honored as a 2013-14 College Women's Team Academic Award winner by the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) after boasting a 3.51 team grade point average.

The organization made the announcement on Monday afternoon.

It marks the sixth consecutive year (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014) that the program has been recognized for its academics by the NSCAA.

It is the seventh time overall that CSU has made the list, also garnering the award in 2002.

A total of 861 soccer teams (279 men, 582 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year.
