YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer team had its four-match unbeaten streak snapped as a late goal from Youngstown State lifted the Penguins past the Vikings, 2-1, on Wednesday night at Farmers National Bank Field.

CSU fell to 8-7-2 overall and 3-3-1 in the Horizon League, while the Penguins improved to 7-6-2 overall and 3-2-1 in league play.

The Penguins took a 1-0 lead at the 37:22 mark of the first half when Brittany Tenis converted a penalty kick after a CSU foul in the box.

It stayed that way until the 64th minute when Allie Sieradzki scored her second goal over the last three matches to knot the contest at 1-1.

Sieradzki's goal was the 26th of the season for CSU, breaking the program record for goals in a season. The 2011 squad held the record with 25 goals.

CSU had a free kick from just beyond midfield that Erin O'Toole sent toward the box. Another YSU foul gave the Vikings a free kick from just outside the top of the box. Amanda Sivic took a free kick that was saved, but Sieradzki was right there to knock in the rebound.

The game-winner was scored with just 2:31 to play when Tenis netted her second goal of the night off a rebound from just inside the top of the box after her initial shot was blocked by a CSU defender.

The Vikings are back in action on Saturday (Oct. 25) when CSU plays at Oakland at 7:00 p.m. in the regular season finale.
