Sieradzki & Wood Earn Horizon League Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State juniors Allie Sieradzki and Sarah Wood have been honored by the Horizon League for their performances in CSU's two matches last week.

Sieradzki was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Wood was the co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Sieradzki tallied a goal and an assist in CSU's two matches last week, helping the Vikings to a pair of key league wins. In Wednesday's 1-0 win over Wright State, Sieradzki had the assist on Kaila Sargema's game-winning goal four minutes into overtime.

She netted CSU's first goal nine minutes in the contest on Saturday, helping the Vikings to a 2-0 win over Green Bay.

Wood was solid in goal for the Vikings in both matches last week, making four saves vs. WSU and posting three saves in the win over Green Bay. She has posted six shutouts this season, the second most in a season in school history.

The Vikings (7-6-2, 2-2-1 HL) return to action on Saturday (Oct. 18) when CSU hosts UIC at 4:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field in the regular season home finale.
