CSU Plays to 0-0 Draw at Niagara

NIAGARA, N.Y. - The Cleveland State women's soccer team played to their first draw of the season, earning a 0-0 tie at Niagara on Sunday afternoon.

CSU moved to 4-4-1 this season, while Niagara is now 3-1-2.

It was CSU's third shutout of the season and second straight after a 4-0 win at Canisius on Friday night.

Over the last six games, the Vikings have given up just three goals.

The Vikings had their best chance at netting the game-winner in the final seconds, but Vickie Havas' shot with 10 seconds left was saved by the Niagara goalkeeper.

Niagara held a 15-7 advantage in shots, but CSU's Sarah Wood made eight saves on the day to earn the shutout.

Havas, Amanda Sivic and Allie Sieradzki each had two shots.

The Vikings will be out of action until Friday (Sept. 19) when the Vikings host Eastern Kentucky at 7:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field.
