Cleveland State Women's Soccer 10-Year Anniversary Team

The Cleveland State women's soccer team is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a program in 2013. Over the last 10 years, many players have helped build the program from the ground up. Throughout the month of September, CSU will celebrate 11 of the top players who have been part of the program. The players will be announced in alphabetical order beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and continue on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the month.

PLAYER #6

SYLVIA OLSBY • 2007-10 • F • SEATTLE, WASH.

Sylvia Olsby developed into one of the top offensive threats in CSU history during her four-year career and finished her career at CSU ranked second program history in goals (13), third in points (32) and fifth in assists (6).

She made an immediate impact as a freshman, starting 16 of the 20 matches she appeared in, totaling nine points on three goals and three assists, tying for second on the team in assists. She scored four goals as a sophomore and had a goal with two assists as a junior.

As a senior in 2010, Olsby helped the Vikings to a then school-record nine wins, including a 5-3 mark in the Horizon League, by scoring five goals, tied for the fifth most in a season in program history.
