CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State earned its second straight shutout and won for the fourth time in as many times at home this season with a 3-0 victory over Robert Morris on Sunday at Krenzler Field.

The Vikings improved to 4-4 this season, while the Colonials fell to 4-3-1.

It marked the first time CSU posted back-to-back shutouts since October of 2010 when the Vikings defeated Wright State (1-0 on Oct. 15) and won at Valparaiso 2-0 on Oct. 22.

CSU got on the board right before the end of the first half when freshman Sarah Kaiser scored her second goal in as many games with 2:47 to play in the half.

Kaiser took control of the ball on a Colonial clear, dribbled a few times and unleashed a shot from about 25 yards out that found the upper right corner.

The Vikings wasted little time in adding to the lead in the second half as sophomore Vickie Havas made it 2-0 four minutes into the half with her second goal of the year. Junior Kelcey Fischer tallied the assist.

Fischer started the run and found Havas on the left sideline. Havas worked her way to the middle of the field, finding a lane and took a shot from 25 yards out that found the back of the net.

Freshman Kaila Sargema scored the first goal of her career to make it 3-0 at the 64:48 mark. Havas, who had the assist on the goal, took a free kick from about 30 yards out that was saved by the RMU keeper, but Sargema was able to follow it up and tally the goal.

The Vikings dominated the offensive end, out-shooting the Colonials, 19-10.

Sophomore Sarah Wood made seven saves to earn the shutout. Two Colonial goalkeepers combined to make nine saves.

The Vikings return to action on Wednesday (Sept. 18) when CSU hosts Madonna at 4:00 p.m. at Krenzler Field.
