Cleveland State Women's Soccer 10-Year Anniversary Team

The Cleveland State women's soccer team is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a program in 2013. Over the last 10 years, many players have helped build the program from the ground up. Throughout the month of September, CSU will celebrate 11 of the top players who have been part of the program. The players will be announced in alphabetical order beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and continue on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the month.

PLAYER #5

JESSICA McCLOY • 2007-10 • D • CINCINNATI, OHIO

Jessica McCloy was the heart and soul of the women's soccer program during her time as a Viking from 2007-10. After transferring to CSU from Eastern Kentucky in the spring of 2007, McCloy quickly became one of the team's leaders and top defenders.

McCloy concluded her career with four goals and one assist, while leading the CSU defense to some of its best seasons, including the 2010 squad which set the school record with seven shutouts.

She injured her knee in the second game of the 2009 season at Kent State, but quickly became a leader off the field and on the sidelines for the remainder of the season.

McCloy was granted a rare sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA for the 2010 season, helping the squad to a then school record nine wins, including a 5-3 mark in the Horizon League and the first-ever league tournament match at Krenzler Field.
