Cleveland State Women's Soccer 10-Year Anniversary Team

The Cleveland State women's soccer team is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a program in 2013. Over the last 10 years, many players have helped build the program from the ground up. Throughout the month of September, CSU will celebrate 11 of the top players who have been part of the program. The players will be announced in alphabetical order beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and continue on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the month.

PLAYER #3

HEATHER CLAPACS • 2004-07 • M • WILLOUGHBY, OHIO

Heather Clapacs is the second of three players on the 10 year anniversary team who was part of the inaugural season at CSU in 2004.

She was a fixture in the CSU midfield during her four-years, finishing her career with one goal and five assists. She still ranks tied for eighth on the career assist list at CSU and is one of just three players in program history to dish out at least two assists in a game, tallying two in a win over Delaware State (8/27/06).

Clapacs' lone goal of her career was a memorable one, scoring the game-winning goal in the eighth minute of overtime in a 2-1 opeing round win over Youngstown State in the 2007 Horizon League tournament. It was CSU's first-ever tournament triumph.

Clapacs finished her career playing in 76 matches and made 75 starts, the second most in program history.

She was a second team All-Horizon League pick in 2004 and 2005 and was a member of the all-newcomer team in 2004. She earned second team All-Ohio accolades in 2006.
