FREE KICKS:
    •    The women's soccer team begins the 2013 season with a pair of exhibition games, beginning with a 2:00 p.m. match at Buffalo on Monday (Aug. 12). The Vikings host Niagara on Thursday (Aug. 15) at 4:00 p.m. in their second and final exhibition contest.
    •     The 2013 season marks the 10th year of women's soccer at CSU.
    •    CSU is coming off a 6-11 season and returns 15 letterwinners and eight starters from last year.
    •    Buffalo was 5-12-2 last season, while Niagarawas 8-9-1.
    •    The Vikings have never played Buffalo during the regular season in program history. CSU has faced Niagara three times, going 0-3. The teams last played in 2009.

DUBEAU THE DEFENDER:
    •    Senior Frederike Dubeau returns for her fourth year on CSU's backline.
    •    One of the most physical defenders in the Horizon League, she was one of just three players to start all 17 games for CSU last season.
    •    Dubeau has started 53 of the 54 matches she has played in.
    
SUPER SOPH:
    •    Vickie Havas returns to the lineup this year after earning a spot on the Horizon League All-Newcomer team last year.
    •    Havas tied for second in the league in assists (5), was fourth in points (15) and tied for fourth in goals (5).
    •    She scored at least one point in eight of the 15 matches she played in.
    •    Also led the squad with 37 shots and 19 shots on goal.

BACK HOME IN CLEVELAND:
    •    Junior Amanda Sivic, a native of Broadview Heights, Ohio, returns to the area after spending her first two seasons at Dayton.
    •    Sivic played in 22 games during her two-year career at Dayton and was a member of the Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Rookie team in 2011.
    •    She was a first team All-Ohio selection at Brecksville-Broadview Heights H.S. as a senior.

FRESHMAN SCORING MACHINE:
    •    Freshman Sarah Kaiser enters the CSU program after a highly decorated career at Mercyhurst Prep.
    •    Kaiser finished her career with school records in goals (105), assists (74) and points (284).
    •    She was a first team all-state pick and the District 10 Player of the Year as a senior after tallying 32 goals and 28 assists.

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TEAM:
    •    In honor of the 10th year of women's soccer at CSU, the Vikings will honor 11 players as part of the 10 year anniversary team.
    •    The players will be announced in alphabetical order beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and continue on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout September.

    •    The Vikings open the 2013 regular season when CSU hosts Canisius on Friday (Aug. 23) at 7:00 p.m.
    •    CSU hosts Bowling Green on Sunday (Aug. 25) at 1:00 p.m.
