CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's soccer team dropped its final exhibition contest of the preseason, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon to Buffalo at Krenzler Field.

CSU finishes its three match exhibition slate at 0-2-1 with losses to Michigan and Buffalo and a tie with Oakland.

The Bulls tallied the lone goal of today's match at the 25:13 mark of the first half when Stephanie Velez took a cross from N'Dea Johnson and beat CSU keeper Sarah Wood.

The Vikings had several quality scoring chances, the first coming in the 13th minute when Haleigh Singary took a shot from about 30 yards out, but sailed wide. CSU's next chance came in the 56th minute when Allie Sieradzki tried to put away a cross inside the box, but Buffalo goalkeeper Ainsley Wheldon made the save.

The final chance came with the clock winding down inside of two minutes, but Chloe Fadenholz's shot from about eight yards out was saved by McKenzie White, preserving the shutout.

Wood made five saves, playing all 90 minutes for the Vikings, while Wheldon and White combined for four saves for the Bulls.
