BLOG: Women's Soccer - We Survived August!

We have finally completed our preseason (the last one ever for us)!

It was a long month of hard work and lots of team bonding! We had an addition of 10 new teammates this season, which makes for a young roster. Somehow we are not sick of each other after being together 24/7 playing soccer, eating every meal together, and long weekend trips. Thank goodness for a very mild August and a few thunderstorms during practice hours!

Currently we have already played 7 games, 3 of them exhibition. We had a rough start with our exhibition games, but have grown from the losses moving into the season. As of now, we have a 2-2 record, which we look to improve upon this weekend at Canisius on Sunday.

With school starting this week, it has been a hectic week of practice and managing school work. However, we still find time to volunteer and coach a group of young soccer players!

Today after practice, we spent one on one time with each of the girls teaching foot skills, ball control, and passing. It was a fun filled morning working with young athletes. We look forward to coaching them more in the future and seeing them support us at our home games!

Thats enough for now...we have to pack up and get our rest for an early morning departure for our road trip tomorrow.

Go Vikes!!
