
Kettering, OH-The Cleveland State women's golf team closed a successful fall season with a ninth-place team finish at the Dayton Flyer Invitational. The Vikings posted a 36-over par 316 in tough conditions on the final day of the tournament.
Mandie Ruminski and Kaitlin Kormuth each finished in a tie for 35th place at 21-over par through 54 holes. Ruminski carded a final round 77 and Kormuth closed with a 78.
Brynna Mardis finished in a tie for 49th place after a final round 79. She finished at 27-over for the tournament. Close behind was Abby Blacburn, playing as an individual. She finished tied for 56th at 30-over par. Blacburn posted her two lowest scores of her CSU career on Monday, finishing 75-76, before posting an 89 in the third round.
Olivia Swain finished in 60th place at 33-over par, and Lola Barnett finished tied for 61st at 35-over. Kaylin Kline, playing as an individual, posted her lowest round of the tournament with a 78 in the final round to finish at 42-over par in a tie for 65th.
This concludes the fall season for the Vikings, who will prepare for the spring portion of the schedule coming up in February.
