Cleveland State Women’s Golf Finishes Tied for Seventh at Nevel Meade Invitational

Prospect, KY-The Cleveland State women's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at the Nevel Meade Invitational at Nevel Meade Golf Club. The Vikings carded a 36-over par 324 to finish at 62-over par for the 36-hole event. Central Michigan won the event with a 26-over par total. 

Despite cold conditions for the second day in a row, the Vikings fought hard throughout the second day. Mandie Ruminski finished in a tie for 10th to lead the way individually for Cleveland State. Ruminski closed with a 6-over 78 that included two birdies to finish at 10-over for the tournament.

Sabrina Coffman finished tied for 17th after carding an 8-over par 80 in the second round. Lexi Knight finished at 17-over after 36 holes as she closed with an 83 on day two.

Additionally, Brynna Mardis finished tied for 57th at 23-over and Olivia Swain finished tied for 63rd at 27-over. Abby Blackburn, playing as an individual, finished tied for 75th at 31-over.

The Vikings will compete next week in the NKU Spring Invitational at Elks Run Golf Course, scheduled for March 27-28.
