
HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Cleveland State women's golf team wrapped up the first event of the spring campaign Monday, posting a 6-0-0 win over Northern Kentucky in their final match of the Motor City Cup.
This weekend's Motor City Cup was a match play event, with the Vikings playing three matches over a two-day span.
In Monday's final round, the Vikings earned their first win of the weekend, posting a perfect 6-0-0 mark against NKU.
Meg Rossouw started the Vikings off with a 4&3 win, while Sabrina Coffman (3&2) and Madison Butler (5&4) followed with wins in their respective matches. Lexi Knight finished her match 2UP, while Olivia Swain posted a 5&4 win and Amanda Ruminski went 7&6.
Knight led the way for the Vikings on the weekend going 2-1-0, while Olivia Swain went 1-1-1 over the two days.
Cleveland State will now take a break from competition, returning to action at the Nevel Meade Collegiate March 21 and March 22.
