Cleveland State Women’s Golf Opens Play At Motor City Cup

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Cleveland State women's golf team opened up the 2022 spring campaign Sunday, competing in the first day of the Motor City Cup.

This weekend's event is a match play event, with Cleveland State opening the weekend against Oakland. Lexi Knight picked up the lone win against the Grizzlies for the Vikings, as she won 5&4 over Oakland's Nateda Her, while Olivia Swain earned a tie against Sydney Martens in her match.

After falling to Oakland 4-1-1 in the opening round, the Vikings then faced UIC in a consolation match, falling to the Flames, 6-0-0.

Cleveland State will wrap up play at the Motor City Cup tomorrow, facing Northern Kentucky.
