
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Cleveland State women's golf team finished their first tournament of the spring season in 11th place at the Islander Classic on Tuesday (Feb. 25).
RECAP:
Madison Butler improved in the second day of the two-day tournament, moving up seven spots from the opening day. The junior from Medina, Ohio led the Vikings and tied for 28th overall, finishing with a score of 234 (+28). Butler notched three birdies on the day.
Averi Hanna finished the Islander Classic tied for 54th, shooting 245 (+29). Ashley Knight ended the classic four spots behind Hanna tied for 58th after scoring 246 (+54).
Both Meg Rossouw and Lexi Knight finished tied for the 62nd spot, scoring 247 (+31).
Rossouw tallied three birdies on the day, including on the 18th hole.
