TOURNAMENT RECAP
BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Junior Madison Butler posted a final round 75 and finished tied for 15th place on Tuesday at the Phoenix Invitational on the Alamance Country Club course.
Butler, who posted a career-best round of 68 in the second round, had 15 pars over her final 18 holes to finish with a four-over par 75. She finished with a 54-hole total of 220 to finish 15th overall.
Cleveland State, which shot a school record 290 in round two of the tournament, finished in seventh place overall with a score of 905.
Meg Rossouw, who fired a career-best round of 71 in the second round, closed with a 78 and was tied for 25th overall with a score of 226.
Grace Zimmerman had a 77 over her final 18 holes and was tied for 29th overall. She had two birdies over her final 18 holes and posted a total of 229.
Ashley Knight tied for 32nd overall after shooting 73-76-81, while Averi Hanna had rounds of 85-84-81 and placed 54th overall.
