CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Madison Butler fired rounds of 83-76 leading Cleveland State to seventh place in the team standings after the opening 36 holes of the Islander Classic on Monday at the Corpus Christi Country Club.

Led by Butler, Cleveland State had rounds of 321 and 324 and is in seventh place in the team standings with a team score of 645 over the par-72, 6045-yard layout at Corpus Christi.

Butler opened her round by shooting an 83, but posted a four-over par 76 on her second 18 holes and moved up 14 spots in the standings to a tie for 24th overall.

Cleveland State bunced three players together as Rayna Oosterhuis and Grace Zimmerman were right behind Butler in the standings. Oosterhuis shot rounds of 78-83 and is in 28th position, while Zimmerman had rounds of 82-80 and is tied for 29th overall.

Meg Rossouw rounded out the Cleveland State scoring contingent on the day as she had rounds of 86-85 and is tied for 49th overall.

Houston Baptist leads the team standings with a 36-hole total of 592, while Texas A&M Corpus Christi is second with a team score of 607. Kaity Cummings of Houston Baptist and Julie Lucio of Texas Rio Grande Valley lead the medalist chase after shooting 146 over the first 36 holes.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday (Feb. 26) at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
