NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Cleveland State University women's golf team closed the fall portion of its season Monday at the MAC Fall Preview.

Playing at the par-72, 5,991-yard Purgatory Golf Club, CSU finished in 11th place in the team standings. A final-round 328 left the Vikings with a tournament total of +77 (941).

Freshman Meg Rossouw led the way Monday for the Vikings. She was just +1 through 11 holes but finished her round with +7 (79). That left her with a three-round total of 238.

Freshman Grace Zimmerman had a pair of birdies Monday, on the par-5 fifth and par-3 12th, and shot +10 (82). She used 241 strokes in the event.

Sophomore Madison Butler shot 83 in the final round while junior Kaylee Neumeister and sophomore Ashley Knight both shot 84.

Knight was the top Viking in the event as she used 235 strokes in the tournament, just one stroke ahead of Butler.

Butler led the team in the fall with a 75.7 strokes per round average. The single-season school record for scoring average is 77.4 strokes per round.

Cleveland State finished the fall with a 310.8 team scoring average. The Vikings had set the single-season school record last year with their 316.0 average.
