Kelner Shoots 74 in Final Round of Ball State Cardinal Classic

YORKTOWN, Ind. - Cleveland State shot a final round 322, highlighted by a 74 from freshman Sophie Kelner, and finished in 12th place at the Ball State Cardinal Classic that concluded on Tuesday.

The 36 hole event was played at the par-72, 6,204-yard The Players Club.

Allyson Hackman was CSU's top finisher, tying for 36th place with rounds of 78-80 (158), while Kelner tied for 40th place, one shot behind Hackman. Kelner carded rounds of 85-74 (159).

Kelner's final round 74 is the second lowest round by a Viking this year and tied for the third lowest round in school history. It is the seventh time a CSU player has fired a 74 in program history.

CSU is back in action on Oct. 6-7 at the Butler Invitational.
