Leo Named #HLWBB Player Of The Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After leading Cleveland State to a 3-0 week at the Hampton Inn Cleveland Downtown Viking Invitational last time out, women's basketball junior Destiny Leo has been named the #HLWBB Player of the Week. This marks the first weekly honor of the season for Leo, and the fourth weekly accolade of her career.

Leo and the Vikings improved to 5-1 on the season after notching three wins against Georgia State, Bellarmine and St. Bonaventure during last week's Viking Invitational.

For the week, Leo averaged 16.7 points per game on a .400 field goal percentage – pacing the Viking offense in all three games. In the tournament opener, Leo posted 23 points against Georgia State for her second 20-point game of the year, while she followed that up with 16 points against Bellarmine and 11 points against St. Bonaventure.
