The Toreros were able to stop the Viking run with a layup at the 8:37 mark, but Miller responded with a 5-0 run of her own to give the Vikings their first lead of the contest at 23-22 with 7:49 left on the clock. After San Diego was able to extend its lead to nine points throughout the first part of the fourth quarter, the Vikings chipped away at the USD advantage, going on a 9-0 run over a span of 1:22 to tie the contest at 70-70 with six minutes left to play.
