INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its postseason honors Wednesday, with the Cleveland State women's basketball team earning three accolades. Ashanti Abshaw and Khayla Livingston were both named to the All-Horizon League First Team, while Shadae Bosley was named to the Horizon League All-Defensive Team.
This marks the first time since the 2003-04 season that the Vikings have had two First Team All-League honorees in the same season, while it also marks the first time that any Horizon League team has had two First Team honorees since the 2010-11 campaign.
ASHANTI ABSHAW | F | R-JR | FIRST TEAM
Abshaw picked up Horizon League postseason honors for the third straight year, and was named First Team All-League for the second straight season. Entering the Horizon League Tournament, Abshaw leads the Vikings and ranks second among league players averaging 19.4 points per game, posting 543 total points this season – her second straight season with 500+ points.
For the year, Abshaw has recorded 20+ points during 16 games, including a trio of 30-point performances. The Cleveland Heights, Ohio native has 1,594 career points, a mark that ranks sixth in the CSU Career Record Book, and is just six points shy of becoming the first Viking all-time to eclipse the 1,600-point as a junior.
Abshaw, who has appeared in the starting lineup 86 times throughout her career, has also been one of Cleveland State's top rebounders, entering Motor City Madness ranked 16th in the CSU Career Record Book with 625 total boards. This year, Abshaw is averaging 4.1 rebounds per game, while she also leads the Vikings and the Horizon League with 2.8 steals per game.
Abshaw is the fifth Viking to become a two-time First Team honoree, and the third to do so under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad.

KHAYLA LIVINGSTON | G | R-SR | FIRST TEAM
Livingston was named to an All-League team for the third time in her career, and was named All-Horizon League First Team for the first time. Entering the Horizon League Tournament, Livingston is one of two league players to rank in the top-five in scoring and assists, averaging 17.5 points and 4.0 assists per game.
Earlier this season, Livingston became the 28th Viking all-time to record 1,000 career points, and currently ranks 10th on the CSU Scoring Chart with 1,453 points. Livingston also ranks fifth in the CSU Career Record Book with 391 assists – just nine helpers shy of becoming the first Viking ever to record 1,400+ points and 400+ assists on their career.
Livingston has also been one of the best three-point shooters in program history, entering Motor City Madness with CSU career records in three-pointers made (232) and three-point field goal percentage (.381), while she also set a CSU single-game record with nine three-pointers at Detroit Mercy earlier this season, and is currently tied for the CSU single-season record with 89 three-pointers this year. Livingston is also tops in the Horizon League in three-pointers made (89) and three-point field goal percentage (.416) this season.
Livingston is the 12th Viking in program history to earn First Team honors, while she is the ninth to pick up the accolade under head coach Kate Peterson Abiad.

SHADAE BOSLEY | F | SR | ALL-DEFENSIVE TEAM
Bosley picked up Horizon League honors for the first time in her career, becoming the eighth Viking in program history to earn a spot on the All-Defensive Team.
Entering the Horizon League Tournament, Bosley ranks second in the league averaging 1.9 blocked shots per game, and has 55 total blocks this season – a mark that ranks third in the CSU single-season record book. Bosley has recorded at least one blocked shot in 20 games this season, including a season-high six blocks at Oakland earlier this year.
For her career, Bosley currently ranks third in the CSU Career Record Book with 142 career blocked shots, and is one of just three Vikings all-time with 140+ blocks on their careers.
