CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team closed outs its current homestand with a win Saturday, picking up a convincing 72-49 victory over Northern Kentucky. The Vikings are now 14-7 on the season and 6-4 in Horizon League action.

Game Stats
• Four Vikings finished the game in double-figures, led by Ashanti Abshaw with 17 points.
• Khayla Livingston added 16 points, while Olivia Voskuhl tallied 14 and Mariah White chipped in 10 points.
• Olivia Voskuhl grabbed a team-best nine rebounds, while Mariah White recorded six boards and Ashanti Abshaw grabbed four.
• As a team, the Vikings recorded 15 steals on the game, including four from Khayla Livingston and three from Olivia Voskuhl.
• For the game, the Vikings shot 42-percent from the floor, including a .533 clip during the first quarter.
• Cleveland State forced NKU into 25 turnovers – recording 29 points off of those miscues. 

Game Notes
• The Vikings finished the month of January with a 4-4 record, and have won three out of their last four games.
• Saturday's win gave Cleveland State the season sweep of Northern Kentucky, as the Vikings also picked up a 70-65 victory in the first meeting. 
• Mercedes Hobbs made her first appearance of the season, playing six minutes and recording three assists.
• Mariah White recorded her first double-digit scoring game of the season, finishing with 10 points on a perfect 4-for-4 effort from the floor and a 2-for-2 performance from the free throw line. 

The Game
The Vikings were able to hold the advantage for the entire first half, closing the second quarter on a 9-0 run to take a 38-27 advantage into the halftime break. 

After beginning the third frame with a double-digit lead, the Vikings were able to hold this advantage for the majority of the frame, outscoring the Norse 17-9 to take a 55-36 lead into the final 10 minutes of action.

Cleveland State continued its momentum throughout the fourth quarter then, controlling play for the final 10 minutes of action to come away with the 72-49 victory.

CSU Career Record Book
• With 16 points against NKU, Khayla Livingston moved into 12^th place on the CSU Scoring Chart, finishing with 1,270 career points.
• Olivia Voskuhl recorded her 600^th career rebound on the game, finish right on the number after grabbing nine boards against the Norse.
